Robert Harley Sherman, 81, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on September 20, 2024. Born on November 23, 1942, Robert dedicated his life to serving his country and community. He spent 20 years in the Army and continued his service working as a contract engineer at Ft Carson for 25 years.
Robert was a loving and dedicated husband to his wife, Patricia I. Sherman, and a guiding light to his daughters, Susan Kern and Kathy Webb. He was a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Sherman.
A man of deep faith, Robert was a long-time member of the Vista Grande Baptist Church. His love for music often filled the church's halls, where he played with the skill of a true musician. Robert also enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing, hobbies that he pursued with passion and joy.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be held on October 2nd at 10 AM at Vista Grande Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Robert. A gravesite ceremony will follow at 1 PM at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, where his legacy will be honored in the presence of those he loved.
