Robert Trotter Obituary

Robert E. Trotter, 85, of Black Forest, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 25, 2014. He was born on September 22, 1929 in Los Angeles, California to Clifford and Florine Trotter.

Bob graduated from University High School in Los Angeles and then went on to earn a Bachelors Degree from Oregon State University in Industrial Engineering. Later in life, he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He was a pilot in the Navy and served in the Navy and Naval Reserve for 7 years. He married Patricia Cheadle in 1960 and they spent 54 years together prior to his passing.

Bob worked for Ampex for 33 years in California and Colorado before retiring. After retirement, Bob was able to pursue many of his other interests including woodworking, handyman services, and serving in his church. Along with Pat, Bob coordinated many service and mission projects at Woodmen Valley Chapel.

Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia Trotter of Black Forest; his son, Loren Trotter (Barbara) of Linden, Michigan; and his daughter, Amy Steele (Kenneth) of Tucson, Arizona. Bob has four grandchildren, Michael and Katherine Trotter, and Aaron and Amanda Steele. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Salverson of Woodland Hills, California; and his brother Clifford Trotter of Bakersfield, California.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, September 29 at Woodmen Valley Chapel, Woodmen Heights location, 8292 Woodmen Valley View, Colorado Springs. Reception immediately following.
