Robert Unruh Obituary
Robert was born in Wishek, ND, and served in the U.S. Army with the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Carson & Camp Hale. He met his wife, Esther, when he returned to ND after serving in the Korean War. Robert was an auto body man, sang in his church choir, and volunteered with the High Country Rollers. He was a former member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Esther; his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and his son-in-law, Lewis McNeil. He is survived by his son, Mark Unruh (Cyndi) of Motley; daughter, Marsha Unruh (McNeil) of Colorado Springs; daughter, Marla Smith (Tim) of Rockford, IL; son, Marty Unruh of Colorado Springs; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three sisters, and four brothers.
A celebration of his life will be held on May 8, 2017, at the Haut Funeral Home, 1101 5th Avenue N.E., in Jamestown, ND.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Harmony House, 900 Eastwood Lane South, Motley, MN 56469-0900.
