Robert Vereb Obituary

Master Sergeant Robert L. Vereb, USAF (Ret.), age 87, died on June 6, 2017 in Colorado Springs. He was retired from the Air Force and the U.S. Civil Service. He was also a realtor, Goodwill supervisor, and RV salesman. Bob was a loving husband, father, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.



Robert L. Vereb was born in Woodbridge, New Jersey on May 9, 1930. He grew up in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and graduated from high school there. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve in high school and then entered the Army Air Corps, now the Air Force.



He married Florabelle Duran in 1952 in Greeley, Colorado. The couple then were stationed in Germany, Denver, New Jersey, and Colorado. He retired after twenty-four years of devoted service in the military.



Bob then went into the oil business. He owned the Gulf Oil Station in Colorado Springs, was a realtor with Van Shuck Realty, and then was a supervisor with Goodwill Industries for several years.



He sold recreational vehicles at Bart's RV and worked a number of small jobs. He later entered the Civil Service and worked for Peterson AFB at the golf course grounds and commissary.



Robert will be best remembered for his generosity, his kindness, patience and love for family.



He will be dearly missed.



He is survived by his wife, Florabelle; his son, Anthony; his sister, Janice Vereb; and his sister, Patricia Kozma. He has numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
