Robert Williams Obituary

Robert (Bob) Williams, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Uncle passed away on Feb 23, 2017. Bob was born on July 11, 1931 in Nanticoke, PA to William T. and Frances (Croom) Williams who predeceased him.

When he was 19 years old he joined the US Air Force and served his country for 26 years retiring as a SMSgt. His last military assignment was at the Air Force Academy where he fell in love with Colorado and made it his home for over 45 years. After his retirement from the Air Force he had another long career as a local realtor.

He loved his country and his family. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, the Colorado Rockies and Duke University Basketball. He also enjoyed playing golf. He was known among family and friends as a sports trivia encyclopedia.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; 3 sons, Bob (Tammy), Richard (Maggie), David (Lynn) and 1 daughter, Kathleen Huerta (Mark Myers). He is also survived by two step-sons, Jeffrey Cole and Michael Cole (Wendy). He was blessed with 14 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson. He is also survived by 2 nephews, Len Williams (Tammy) and Kyle Williams (Jane) and their families.

A memorial service will be held on March 11th at 2pm in the Lehmberg Chapel at the First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs.
