Robert Kenneth Howard "Ken" Witt

Robert Witt Obituary

August 8, 1962 - March 2008. Ken was born August 8, 1962 in Gulfport, Ms. where his father began his US Air Force career while stationed at Keesler AFB, Biloxi. The military life enabled Ken and his family to live in many different locations, such as: Kadena, Okinawa, where his sister Kim was born, Smyrna, Tn., Mt. Home, Idaho, Ft. Walton Beach, Fl., Anchorage, Ak, and finally settling down in Colorado Springs, Co. Ken acquired a great love for the splendor of mountains. He described its majestic beauty as "his church". One of his favorite places was SkiLac Lake in Alaska where he went camping with his buds, Mark, Jeff and Nate. It's where he felt close to God. His greatest joy was packing his truck, his two "Boyz" and going camping in the surrounding mountain side. He leaves his beloved sons, Garrett and Alex, his mother JoAnn Witt, his sister Kim Goodwin, Brother in law, Brad Goodwin, nephew, Brock Goodwin, and two nieces, Savannah and Jaidyn Goodwin. His family and friends take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his father and they are in a peaceful place filled with joy and love. We will miss him dearly and be grateful that he left so many treasured memories with us. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00pm, Friday March 21, 2008 at Mountain View Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to the Robert K-H Witt Memorial Fund at any Washington Mutual Location.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.
