Roberta (Renck) Schneider passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Roberta was born on May 29, 1928, at St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Roberta grew up on the plains of eastern Colorado at Hall Station with her family, which included her mother, father, one sister, and eight brothers. In 1939, when Roberta was eleven years old, her family moved to Colorado Springs, where she attended West Junior High School. She later attended and graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1945.
She married Edward (Ted) Schneider on March 16, 1946, and later that day they celebrated their wedding at Hiawatha Gardens in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Edward and Roberta were married until Edward's death in 2008.
Roberta enjoyed oil painting, gardening, bowling, and most of all; taking road trips with her family to complete her bucket-list of seeing every National Park in the United States. She was also an avid Colorado Rockies fan and never missed watching a game on TV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maude (Stringham) Renck; her husband, Edward Lee Schneider; and eight brothers.
She is survived by her four children, Larry Schneider (Chris), Karen Schneider, Vicki (Schneider) Lee, Terri Schneider; and her sister, Beverly (Renck) Spencer (Merle). She was blessed with ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Roberta, also known as Nanny, had such a loving soul and will truly be missed.
There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 10:00 AM, at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
