Roberto Romani Obituary

Roberto was born in Waratan, NSW, Australia. He was preceded in death by his parents Elio and Maria and his beloved wife, Kaylene. He died on the one year anniversary of Kaylene's funeral. Roberto is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Gemma and John, Rita and Claude. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and her husband: Kay and Milton; his sisters-in-law and their husbands: Julia and Alan, Christine and Richard; and his brother-in-law and his wife: Stephen and Trish; as well as eleven nieces and nephews. Finally, Kaylene and Roberto leave behind their beloved dog Coco Chanel. Roberto's cheeky humor and generosity were legendary. Who can forget the statement, “I'm a six foot-five Italian in a small, stylish package? Roberto showed an incredible amount of bravery and fortitude, particularly in the face of his many medical problems and the sudden loss of his wife -- his bedrock. In spite of everything, he was always quick with a smile, a joke and an, “I'm alright, Darling. Losing you, Roberto, “is like a dagger through our hearts. We will miss you more than we can say. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. www.jdrf.org

Robbie, losing you and Kaylene so close together is a difficult thing to endure- you were my link to my beloved sister and now you are gone as well. The one consolation I have is that you will be together now. Kaylene loved you more that anything in the world, and perhaps she died before you for a reason. You were one tough cookie! I will always keep you in my heart.

The world is a bit less bright without our friends Roberto and Kaylene to share giggles and grins with. Your names will forever be remembered and cherished. I hope we meet again in heaven. Until then, watch over all your friends, who will miss you every day.

It had been a long time but I always thought we'd catch up with each other again.Unfortunately that isn't going to happen.
The days of foofing around in the city office so long ago are a fond memory.
I'm truly saddened that our paths wont cross again.
All I can say now is good bye to a friend.

Roberto was a work team-mate and a true Aussie. Our constant exchanges of humer around the Aussie outback was always the front of every conversation. Despite Roberto's struggles over the past year he always carried a good spirit about him. He was a great team-mate and we will miss him for a long time.

My darling Roberto, you will always be my hero. I promise to keep your nickname for me "Bubbles". I have all your sayings memorized, like calling all the bad drivers on the road "sweetheart". I'll miss your laugh, smile, grace, and company. I know you were a "tough Aussie" that had appreciation for "chick flicks", that went straight to my heart. Coco Chanel is not a "whinger" and is right at home with her buddy Lucky.........

We shared a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with Roberto. He was kind, funny and easy to be around. He will be missed.
