Robyn Van Sanford, 52, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away peacefully at Saint Francis Hospital with her husband Jeffrey Van Sanford by her side on Thursday, October 10th, 2024. She was a true renaissance woman when it came to knowledge, learning, and passion for life, and will be dearly missed. She was born in Alexandria in 1972 to Linda Utting and Raymond Chaney and was later adopted by Richard Utting. Robyn and Jeff met when he was the neighborhood paper boy. Eventually, they married, and the Air Force moved them to Great Falls, Montana where they began their lives together. Robyn loved her children dearly and was quite proud to see all of them grow up and flourish, with her luckily able to attend her youngest son Joshua's wedding earlier in March of 2024. Robyn loved her cats, and she was an incredibly creative person, often making beautiful art projects as gifts for friends and family. If you knew her, you knew she loved many things like crafting, books, history, musicals, cats, the British Isles, and most of all, her favorite TV show Friends. With her passion for knowledge, she dreamed most of becoming a contestant on Jeopardy, as she watched that tv show devotedly for years, spending many an evening surrounded by her loved ones all trying to beat each other in the game of trivia. Robyn was preceded in death by her adopted father Richard Utting, and is survived by her mother Linda, sisters Amanda and Tracey, brother Rich, husband Jeffrey, daughter Rebecca, and her sons Ryan and Joshua. Her open viewing is on October 23, 2024 at Springs Funeral Services - North and followed by her burial at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
