Rodney Lewis Clemetson, 81, of Holton, KS, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at his home. He was born November 19, 1942 in Holton, KS, the son of Howard and Bonnie (Salisbury) Clemetson.
Rodney graduated from Holton High School and earned his Bachelors Degree in Business from Kansas University. He proudly served in the United States Army, serving as a Russian Linguist during the Vietnam War. He was a Computer Network Engineer for Ampex Corporation in Colorado Springs, CO.
Rodney was a member of the Holton American Legion Post 44.
He married Betty I. Catlin on November 27, 1964 in Olathe, KS. They celebrated over 59 years of marriage.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Heather Timmerman of Holton, KS; son, David Clemetson (Becki) of Sharpsville, PA; 3 grandchildren, Carissa, Jared and Ethan and great-granddaughter, Harper Lee.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Clemetson.
Private Family Memorial Service will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Holton American Legion Post 44 or Banner Creek Observatory c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436. To leave a special message for the family, please visit www.mercerfuneralhomes.com.
