Roger Krafft Obituary

Roger C. Krafft was born on April 24, 1929 in Chicago, IL to William and Annette Krafft and died in Colorado Springs on March 25th, 2016. Roger was an outstanding scholar and graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He met Syble Young in 1952 and they married soon thereafter. They had three children: Jerry, Karen and Randall. Karen died when she was only seven.

Roger's professional career began as an officer for Michigan Insurance. He was soon promoted to manager for Wisconsin Insurance. Subsequently he became a Vice President for Insurances Services Organization in New York City where he served until retirement in 1984.

Syble and Roger moved to Colorado in 1984 where he volunteered with the District 20 school system for 12 years and with the Monument Presbyterian Food Bank for five years. One of Roger's passions was bridge where he excelled as a Life Master. Roger was a staple at the Colorado Springs Bridge Center for years and he and Syble founded a duplicate bridge club at their church.

Roger passed away from complications of Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Syble, and his two sons.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday the 29th of March at Monument Community Presbyterian Church.
