Roger L. Freischlag Obituary

Roger L. Frieschlag, 74, of Colorado Springs, passed away on the morning of September 27, 2015 in Colorado Springs, CO.

Roger was born in Hackensack, NJ to Elmer and Gladys Freischlag on November 23, 1940. He grew up in New York State and went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering followed by a Masters in Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard. He retired as the owner of Energy Metering and Monitoring Systems, Inc. after starting the company 30 years prior. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, Jo Ann, and was always planning their next big adventure. He also enjoyed hunting with his sons, sailing, and good wine.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Gladys. He is survived by his wife Jo Ann; brothers Jerry (Mary Lou), Eric (Gail), and Mark (Josie); and sons Stephen, Keith (Sheila), Justin Friedly (Kristen), and Jarret Friedly (Danielle); and nine grandchildren - plus one arriving any day.

The memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Our Savior on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father De Freeman officiating. Reception will immediately follow the service.

Roger fought a courageous battle with a rare form of T-Cell Leukemia. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations sent to T-Cell Leukemia Lymphoma Foundation.
