Roger Burner Rhodes, passed away on Jan. 09,2021 after a yearlong stoic battle with brain cancer. He was born in Oregon City, OR, Feb.07,1953 to Cecile (Bouse) Rhodes and the late Earl Rhodes.
Roger was raised and graduated high school in Oregon City, OR. He later joined the US Army in 1975 and served 20 years before settling down with his family in Colorado Springs, CO. He then became a real estate agent with Merit Co Inc, until joining the US Postal Service as a mail carrier from which he retired in 2015.
Roger was preceded in death by father Earl Rhodes, stepfather Roy Pearson, stepdaughter Tiegan Burress and stepson Michael Burress. He is survived by his wife Norma Alexander-Rhodes, Son Justin (Barbara) Rhodes, daughter Dana (Billy) Vigil, former spouse Kyong Rhodes, stepdaughter Aja Alexander, grandchildren Kaylene, Leland, Ashton, Cruz and Elias, mother Cecile Pearson, sisters April Rhodes, Connie (Tom) Koppang, stepsister Lorna (Dale) Lane, stepbrothers John (Diana) Pearson and Brian Pearson, and many extended family and friends.
Due to Roger's wish that everyone stays healthy there will not be a formal service. A placard will be placed on the Pikes Peak National Cemetery Wall. Correspondence to the Rhodes Family can be sent to 7546 Duck Hawk Pl,. Fountain CO 80817. In Lieu of flowers please consider donating to Glioblastoma Research Organization at gbmresearch.org
