Fond memories of my friend and neighbor Ron Graham on Glenarm Rd. used to party and drink Presidente out of the bottle. Like babies. Spoke fluent Spanish from his younger days in the peace corp in South America.
Vatos like Ron come into your life only once in a while.
When they do, cherish their memories and keep in your heart.

And so, in the autumn of my life, I find myself living in the same area where you lived your last years. I remember driving through here with you in the orange sunshine of 1969. Perhaps we both have come full circle in time. Yet I wish you could see this amazing beauty standing or riding by my side. True friendship survives beyond our mortal bodies precisely because time is indeed circular.

He was vibrant and proud of the Spanish he spoke with me. Always with a smile and offered Presidente from the bottle. Stated if its not pure it ain't good for you. Tell me stories of his South American travels. The people that taught him Spanish and how to live off the land. Don't need a shot glass for that!

Well Amigo ........... can't be long now before we join you and Brad in, I was going to say heaven but the truth is we will most likely see you in Brads basement where we all belong and where we had so much fun in those wonderful formative years! For sure you and I will take a long walk along the tracks that follow the Roaring Fork!

Ronnie and my departed brother Jack were the kindest, gentlest, most supportive people I had the incredible luck to know and love and be loved by. It's a different world without them. If you knew Ronnie you can't help but have a little of him in you. My best to Ronnie's family and his legions of friends. Mike, Anne, Alex Carney

In the fifty years I knew Ron, I never heard him say a negative or judgmental thing about the people he knew! Ron had a big heart, he was generous, kind, and unpretentious! He lived an adventurous life and I often wished I could be with him on these adventures. I'm so glad that he found Mindy Grimes. They shared so much and gave each other true support and enduring love!
When Ron's mother died he read this prayer at her grave:
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.
We love you Ron, you left us too soon!

Ron was my good friend and neighbor when we went to Cheyenne mnt high school together. He didn't always do what people thought he should but he always did what he wanted to do. I will miss him and I' m sorry that I never got a chance to visit him and Mindy in The mountains. Jeff thatcher/Berkeley Springs, WV.

I know that Ronnie died with his boots on -- fighting the good fight and living the good life, as always. He was a prince of a man and the best brother-in-law one could imagine. My deepest condolences to Mindy and all his friends and family. Sara Grimes
