Ronald David Blair, age 69 years, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side.
Ron is preceded in death by his mother Mona (Hill) Blair, father Lloyd Blair, brother Neil Francis and wife Rosemarie (Brown) Blair.
Ron is survived by his daughter Andrea Johnson (her husband Brian); granddaughter Maddi Wesselink; grandson Aidan Johnson; girlfriend Christine Hall; brothers Paul Francis, Gary Blair, Norman Blair (his wife Debbie); sister Marilyn Thompson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ron was born in Colorado Springs and remained a native until his passing. He worked in masonry and his handprint is on many structures built in Colorado Springs in the 1980s. He bricked quite a few houses and custom fireplaces in the Security/ Widefield area.
Ron and his wife Rose started up R&R Liquor store in 1988. With just a small loan they slowly built the business to earn a good living. It remains a staple of Security. Customers all have a "story" to tell about Ron and Rose.
His passions included trapshooting, welding and metal work, collecting guns and hoarding shotgun shells. His greatest passion was his Granddaughter Maddi. Since her birth, she had him wrapped around his finger. Everyone knew he spoiled her rotten.
Ron may have been rough around the edges, but his heart loved BIG and he was a true softie.
Ron will be missed. Especially his funny nicknames, long stories and horrible jokes.
Celebration of life for Ron will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11AM at Pikes Peak Christian Church. Ron was a very down to earth guy so in his honor the Family requests that you wear western wear or jeans for The service.
