I was a neighbor to Ron in the dormitory at CU Boulder for three years, 1973-75. Oh my we had fun! I am sure that whole gang looks back at those years and remembers them as some of the best years. Ron was a gifted artist; he painted photorealism and did pencil sketches. He was an athlete, a comedian and a good friend. I read of his passing in the CU alumni letter and was shocked and greatly saddened. He had such a healthy lifestyle, I thought he would live forever. I know that all his friends on the Boulder campus feel a great loss.

So sorry to hear of Ron´s passing. He was way too young! I remember him as a talented and engaging young man with a wide-open and innocent smile, who was always ready to meet new people and to help out a friend! RIP, Ron. Heaven´s gained another beautiful Angel!

Ron was a great person. Loyal, trustworthy and always there. His Scottish friends had many laughs together with him, and he will be sorely missed.

My heart is broken. I had the pleasure of working with Ron at Sertich Ice Center. Ron was one of the good ones. We feel his absence everyday. His work ethic and dedication to the rink was beyond reproach. We had such high hopes he would get healthy enough to come back to work. I'm heartbrokedn that he didn't get that chance. Ron, you will always be a part of the Sertich family. You are missed.
