Ronald A. Cooks, age 58, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 25 years and was formerly a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was an Eligibility Advocate.
Ronald was born on August 6, 1966, to Ronald A. Harris and Minnie (Cooks) Harris in Philadelphia, PA.
"Big Ron" loved to collect superhero figurines. He also loved his church family and had an appreciation for a great turkey sandwich! He was a member and fellow Minister of Colorado Springs Fellowship Church, and he attended Benjamin Franklin High School and Remington College.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Cooks; his children: Julian, Zairus, Alexis, and Fins; his mother, Minnie Harris; and his siblings: Jeff, Michael, and Shanda. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald A. Harris, and his oldest son, Ronald A. Cooks Jr.
A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Colorado Springs Fellowship Church at 451 Windchime Place, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Entombment will be in the Garden of Angels at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
