Ron had a warm heart and good soul. Attributes that we all should have and emulate.

Thank-you Ron for being a co-author with me. The papers we wrote about Product Safety for the EMC Symposiums will always be cherished. I will always be honored to have the privilege in knowing you. Always in remembrance.

I am trying to make sense of your death by visiting the grave often. The truth of the matter is that although I know where your body is, you are not near me anymore. I just wanted to tell all your friends and family that I miss you very much and that I will always remember you and love you, no matter what life brings. Thanks again to all who have contributed to this guest book. Ann

As friends we shall continue to lift our glasses to you, Ron, at each of our fun gatherings - many of them at jazz, of course. We'll remember your wonderful (Irish and other) jokes - ...e.g. this REALLY happened... and your soft heart when you heard the special songs that brought tears to your eyes ("Old Shep" or "Spring Can Really Hang You Up"). You continued to enjoy life to the fullest even when you were ill with your life's companion, Ann. We won't forget you and your many stories and interests (SPAM, Burma Shave signs, ham radios, Toastmasters, etc.).

The service for you was special and attended by many of your friends as was your wake. Tom O'Boyle and Lila Mori provided some wonderful music as did the group led by Brad Eastin. You would have been moved by both.

We'll miss you, dear friend, and promise you that we'll provide support for Ann. She'll continue to attend events here that we all love - particularly those involving music.

One of my favorite poems at times such as this is THE DASH by Linda Ellis. In it, she defines The Dash as the time you spent alive on earth. At the end she poses the question whether or not you'd be proud of the way you spent your Dash. It's unanimous. The vote by all of us in your case is YES!

You've touched us all and will be sorely missed, dear friend...

Indeed, Ron will certainly be missed, but fortunately, his memory and contribution to our community will be long-lasting. For example,... weeks after Ron's passing, a local Public Radio Station announced his passing and played many of Ron's favorite jazz selections in honor of his substantial contributions to the Pikes Peak Jazz & Swing Society. Likewise, Ron was a true over-achiever in every other aspect of his life. This was none better exemplified by him establishing and maintaining a demanding, professional, "dual-career" life. Ron was a "rare" professional and role-model in both of his careers! As a fellow HP/Agilent employee, I was always impressed by the wisdom, people-skills, and effectiveness Ron demonstrated approaching people to resolve technical issues. Ron was comfortable interacting with employees of every ethnic and educational background. His technical knowledge was equally "top-notch"! As a fellow military veteran, I also want to thank Ron for his dedicated military service supporting the defense our country. Military veterans and family members know all too well the great personal sacrifice military service demands. As a testament to Ron's high degree of military service, achievement and commitment... he was awarded the highly respected rank of "Senior Master Sergeant" in the Air Force Reserves / Air National Guard. Ron's civilian achievement at HP/Agilent was equally duly recognized by "earning" him the unique and esteemed job position and title of "Product Safety Engineer"! A heart-felt thank you Ron for jobs well done! Good-bye to you Sir! May God bless you abundantly.

Ron... beer, food, music, politics, holidays, family, and philosophy are a few of the things we shared... but the greatest was the words. Our late night kitchen talks, early morning talks, and porch talks will be missed. I think we still had some things to talk about and to maybe even argue about. Thanks for all you taught me. I was priviledged to have become a part of the family you had become a part and to have loved the same people and known their love. Peace, my friend.

Really a shame that Ron didn't have more time to spend as he pleased. It was my pleasure to know him & work with him for many years at HP. Ron was easy to like and couldn't do enough for you.
