Ronald Gillespie Obituary

Ronald, 76, died at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born on May 20, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to Illa M. and Major General James O. Gillespie. He served in the U.S. Army for 30 years; while serving, he was in the Medical Corp. during Vietnam. He was a proud graduate of both Stanford and Harvard. He is survived by his first wife of 33 years, Gertrud: two children, Christine and Michael (Karen); five grandchildren, Stephan, Holly, Daniel, Charger and Hanna. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and second wife, Carol Fuller. Ronald will be remembered for his caring, funny and outgoing nature. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, May 4, 2012 at 9:00 a.m., Swan-Law Funeral Director's Cascade Chapel. Burial will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Special thanks to Pikes Peak Hospice for all the care and support!
