Ronald Harbison Obituary

Ronald Eugene Harbison, 61-Colorado Springs, Co., died on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Rockford Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. Born October 3, 1947, in Granite City, Illinois, son of Grant Houston. and Bessie Lee Burk Harbison. He attended Harlem High School. He was a general contractor in Colorado and also in the Rockford area. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. Ron was a good and giving person and would always strive to help his friends and family in whatever way that he could. Survivors include, his longtime friend, Lois Switzer and her son Danny Switzer of Colorado Springs, Co. , 6 brothers ;Grant Jr. of Granite City, Harold (Colleen) of Missouri, Donald (Judy) of Colorado, Steve (Robbin) of Colorado, Rex Allen Harbison Sr. and Clayton of Machesney Park. 6 sisters-Shirley Barton, Machesney Park, Joyce Sneath of Colorado, Carolyn (Ampelio) Martinez of Rockford, Linda Harbison of Machesney Park, Debra (Juan) Miramontez of Rockford and Theresa (Pazcual) Gonzalez of Mexico. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home. Fr. Michael Black will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial at Harlem Cemetery. Memorials may be given in care of the family. For online register , maps or directions, visit WWW.weltefuneral.com.
