I was saddened when I recently found out about Ron's passing. I only worked with him for 2 years, but I have always spoke fondly of my time at Martinez, largely because of Ron's incredible leadership. Ron has left a legacy of respect and admiration for being the leader that he was. I send my deepest sympathies to his family, I know he will be missed by many, including me.

With sympathies,

Ron was Assist. Principal when I worked in the office at Fremont Elementary. He and Ed were the greatest to work for and we had lots of laughs. Ron was so kind and considerate when my son, Chris Higman, broke his neck in a diving accident at Doherty High School. I will never forget how kind they were to me. Heaven has another wonderful person tonight and I'm honored to have known him.

I grew up with Ronnie in good old Sopris, Colorado, and of course have many fond memories of our wide and varied activities.
From Sebbens Grocery, to Lincoln HS, to his BB Court from which we shoveled snow to play, to our rides to TJC together, not to mention visits to Greeley while he attended school. All are cherished.

I am sorry we have not kept closer contact throughout our years and am not surprised that he was loved by, and will be missed by, many.
Cookie, my deepest condolences to you and all of the Sebben families.

Seeing the picture of Ron took me back to 1977 when I had my first job in District 11 as a speech-language pathologist. Working at Fremont Elementary was only enhanced by the sense of community that Ron and Ed created for all of us. Ron became a support, mentor, and dear friend as I learned my way around as a new member of the team at our wonderful school. I think of all the friendships that began at Fremont because of the kindness and humor that Ron brought with him wherever he went. Thank you for creating a family for all of us at Fremont, Ron, for being an outstanding educator for all the students' whose lives you touched, and for leaving a lasting memory of a wonderful human being. I send healing thoughts to your family.
