Ronald E. Smith
In Memory of Ronald E. Smith, born Corning, Kansas on June 10, 1936. Passed away on February 10, 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Irma Smith; 3 son's; Walt (Deanna), Ron (Rosie) and Alan (Susan); 1 daughter, Evelyn (Scott); 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He proudly served his community on the Colorado Springs Fire Department for 25 years. Was an avid fisherman, devoted husband, father and loved the Lord.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2pm Swan-Law Funeral Directors 501 N. Cascade Ave. Colorado Springs. In addition to this service there will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 2pm, Oak Creek Southern Baptist Church, 640 Oak Creek Ave. Rockdale, CO.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ronald's memory to Oak Creek Southern Baptist Church.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I was so sorry to hear of Ron's passing, he attended Manitou School with me, and we also had connection with him later in life through various Fire Departments in the area. He was such a gentle, kind person in our years of school together. My condolences to the family.
