Ronnie's music got me in one of the darkest place's I'd ever been, his music speaks to your soul and his passion for the craft and how amazing he was as a human being will always be one of the pillows of heavy metal, a role model who pioneered the genre and has been and continues to be an inspiration to all of us past and present.

Almost 12 years since his passing and it still hurts. Was listening today at work to a mix of Dio, Rainbow and Heaven and Hell, and truly he was and will forever be the greatest. Rest in Glory, Dio. Toledo, Ohio.

Much to be learned. I was talking to my friend Autumn,18, about your style of music. She listens to hip hop. I don't listen to hip hop. Not only did I me tion you Ronnie, but your style is still amazing. I'm 39 as of July this year and I'll attribute your music as some of the first that led me to this music we all love. True Metal was blasted across my ears when I heard these songs you wrote. I'm glad to have mentioned you and played your music so that generations far ahead may hear you tell the truth between this life and the afterlife. Always a struggle. Thanks for your help with leading me to some of the best music ever written by humans. Rest and sing, Ronnie. Thank you and continue the journey.

Ronnie's voice was so prominent in his band called "ELF". What a solid rock n roll band with a piano player itself that was worth the price of admission. That LP came with me to every party. Everyone would always comment who is that singer and piano player. He was known as Ronald Padavona in those days. WE didn't realize in those days that 2 of the members of Deep Purple helped with the production of that LP. Ronnie you were just too cool. To all of Ronnie's family and friends; may you find comfort with each and every beautiful memory of him. R.I.P. Ronnie. Gone but never forgotten.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Fortunately, my mother was also a fan, as was my son. I drove my mother to visit her mother shortly after Ronnie passed. We had a talk about how surprising it was for my son and I, both, that we could be so affected by the passing of someone we never met. My mom totally understood. We also talked about the fact that my grandmother would not at all understand, and that she knew nothing about Ronnie except the negative hype in her religious publications. Since he was associated with Black Sabbath, th them he is automativally "bad". Fortuantely, MANY people of the world know better. We need more people like him, and the world could have used having his influence around (especially to improve the image of the metal industry as he did) for a couple more decades. I already miss the work he PLANNED to do that we will never get to hear.

I remember listening to Dio's music as a teeneager, and the "adults" would say the music was evil, and I remember thinking; "have you ever listened to the music and the lyrics"? Dio was a strong influence to me to know I was strong and there was beauty everywhere, especially in the darkest of corners.

My heart goes out to Wendy and the family. His talents carried a multituted of excellence and has been and always will be an inspiration to me through all his visionary forms in the heavy metal community. My wife, son, friend, and I had the privilige to listen to him during the Heaven and Hell tour at Radio City Music Hall in 2007. If I ever had the privilege to meet this man in person, I would have not approached him like "an autograph hound", rather, I would have shaken his hand and told him "you create excellent work from the heart". May he live in our hearts forever.

It's been awhile since I had last seen Ronnie with his Band in the 80's early 90's. I remember seeing several concerts, and The Majical moment when I had a chance to meet him not only in person but to also take part in an Promotional Video for MTV with him which at the time was completely a surprise. I have searched continuously for that video since his passing just so I could re-live that magical moment, but have had no success, but his memories still live on in My Heart. I really wish I could have made it to the Memorial but alas I was in the hospital recouping from Back Surgery I wish to extend My sincere Condolences to Wendy and His Family. In my culture we really don't believe in Death but more so as a shedding of the mortal body and a graduation from one life into the next. Long Live Ronnie's Legacy and Music Forever.

Dear Ronnie,
you was a great man who united all the metal fans, you wrote great lyrics and music. Now that you're gone we must continue the fight against cancer, that s why I went to the Shaved Head Challenge.
It's a gesture of solidarity towards children with cancer. By taking part in this Challenge I help play down hair loss due to chemotherapy treatments and I also help the children better accept these treatments and make it easier for them resume their lifestyles.
I was very proud to wear my DIO T-shirt , helping children like you did was a great experience and I will continue all around the world to help them, and people with cancer.
And before I see you again on the other side of the rainbow, I will continue the fight, and all the fans will take care of Wendy.

The light of the world is diminished. I lost my mother-in-law, and the entire world lost Ronnie, both to cancer and so close together. Their lights are shining elsewhere now. Not only is great new music locked away from us now, but a good, kind, decent person as well. When we continue to listen to his music, let us not only remember the legacy of the great sounds, but also how he influenced us to treat each other.

Ronnie, you have always been so good to me. Since the first time I met you back in 1996 at a meet and greet for Angry Machines. I was only 15, yet you treated me with so much kindness and how you took the time to sign all of my stuff. I can remember how after you were done signing my Diamonds cd with a silver marker, you blew on the ink so it wouldn't smear on me. I was so swept away by that and I will never forget it. Before I left, I said to you, "Please- don't ever stop making albums." You looked at me saying, "As long as you keep supporting it, I'll never stop." How real those words are.
It's amazing how many times I saw you in concert from 1998-2009 which would be and even 10 times. Or how remarkable it will always that my cousin and little brother got to see and meet you at your last show in Atlantic City. I guess in a way it all came full circle because Dehumanizer was my introduction to you and now that line-up will forever be the last time that I will see you in my life.
You will always be the best on and off the stage and I can't help it but to feel extremely lucky to have you in my life. My completed goals in life will now become my tributes to you.
See you in the otherworld,

I was unable to attend this wonderful service for such a fabulous singer in metal history! I always admired him and to have seen him in concert play with Heaven & Hell just two years ago was fabulous!
Ronnie you are the coolest and best rock singer out there, always will be! Plus you had class, most then any other singer of your peers.
Thanks again for your music for years to come! I lost my father to the same cancer and it can be difficult to deal with. You are in heaven now with the rest of the rock gods!
Rock on Ronnie James Dio!

I was unable to attend the memorial but I just wanted to mention how much I love Dio's music and how it's had such a huge impact on me the 20 years I've been listening to him. From Elf all the way through to Heaven & Hell there was vary little Dio recorded that I didn't like. I'm still in shock he's gone. But I will continue to listen to his music for the rest of my life and I know it will continue to have a positive impact on me and I will enjoy it forevermore. I love you Ronnie and you will be missed. You are now on top of the Silver Mountian looking down on us all.
