Rosa Stark Obituary

Rosa went to her home in heaven on November 15, 2008. She was born March 12, 1920 in Canastota, New York, to John and Amelia (Minavio) Lambo (deceased). Rosa married Frank Stark (deceased) in 1952. They moved to Pompano Beach, Florida in 1957, where Rosa worked for the Social Security Administration until her retirement in 1981. She then dedicated her life to volunteering. Her priority was the Catholic Church. She became a lector, Eucharistic minister, taught catechism and was involved with all of the fund raisers. She also volunteered for the Red Cross at the North Broward Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and went on many cruises. In 2005, she left Florida and spent her time between Colorado Springs, Colorado and Key West, Florida, where she volunteered at St. Francis Hospital, Silver Key and at St. Mary's soup kitchen in Key West. She is predeceased by her youngest sister, Joanne Schumann of North Syracuse, New York. She is survived by three sisters, Marie Russo of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Angela McClain DSG of Key West, Florida, and Amelia Nichols of North Syracuse, New York; Fourteen nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, their children and two cousins. Rosa touched many lives and she will be greatly missed. There will be a Funeral Mass said for Rosa at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on November 20th at 10:00 am, followed by a reception at the church hall. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2715 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909
