Rosalie Odelia Lujan, 84, of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully on May 9th, 2024 with her husband Juan (John) Lujan of 67 years by her side. Mom was born in Torres, Colorado to the late Ezekiel and Rosario Trujillo on March 30, 1940. She passed gently into the arms of Jesus and will always be our angel to watch over us.
Mom was a homemaker and devoted Air Force wife and a devout Catholic where she volunteered at her local churches through out the years. She always loved returning to her birth place in Torres, Colorado for family events and she called this her happy place. We all have a special place in our hearts for her birth place and the time we got to spend there with family. Mom was an Air Force wife and because of this she was able to to travel the world, while raising her five kids in places Naples, Italy, La Paz, Bolivia, California and Maryland. Her hobbies included bowling with her sisters and cooking. She made wonderful meals for her family for years and we all enjoyed her cooking, it was made with her secret ingredient, "Love".
Mom's happiness in her later years were her five children, fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Her whole world were her kids and grandkids, they brought mom so much joy to her life. Her children include Timothy, Steven (Linette), Terry (Steven), James (Machell), and Susan (Mike) along with her grandchildren and their spouses which include Cassie, Natalie (Gabe), Christina (Nick), Anthony, Holly, Laura (Jason), Steven Jr., Rose, Chelsi (Jimmy), Ashley, Paul, Ryan,Yasmine and Riley. Great grandchildren include Lexi, Adrian, Mason, Summer, Angelina, Amelio, Isaiah, Harley, Aaliyah, Ezra, Meadow, Kashton , Bubby, J.J. and Poppy. Let's not forget Mom and Dads precious yorkie, Bella Marie.
She is survived by her brothers Max Trujillo and Zeke Trujillo (Mary) along with numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and godchildren. She is preceded in passing by her brother Jerry Trujillo and sisters, Christella Lovato, Santana Duran, Marcella Jackson and her grandson Paul Lujan.
A viewing and rosary are scheduled for Tuesday May 21, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dove Witt Family Mortuary 6630 S. US HWY 85/87 in Fountain Colorado. A Funeral mass will be held Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 2030 W. Colorado Ave. Colorado Springs , CO. We will love nothing more for everyone to come and help us as we honor our mother on her passing. Burial will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery at a later date.
