Rosalie Ruth Nelson (Peterson), daughter of Arthur and Dorothy (Foster) Peterson was born March 10, 1938 in Floodwood, Minnesota. She passed away in Colorado Springs on June 10, 2021 after a brief illness. Darrell Morton Nelson, her beloved husband of 59 years, passed away in 2016, and they now have tee times together in the great beyond.
On the golf course Rose was called a "mighty mite" as she always had the longest drive; everything she sewed and stitched was precise and beautiful; her gardens always blossomed; she was a powerhouse who was loved by many.
Rose was passionate about her family, and is survived by her five children (Rock, Sheri, Kelly, Tim and Karen) and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Her family is grateful for the compassionate care she received from her physicians, and the kind guidance from Pikes Peak Hospice. A private family ceremony was held on June 29, 2021. In honor of her memory, a contribution may be made to a charity of your choice.
