Rose Anthony Obituary

Rose B. Anthony Former resident of Pittsburg Rose Bianca Anthony passed away peacefully in her sleep in the presence of her family. She was born and raised in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High. Rose was a generous, loving, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Gerri Evola and grandchildren, Michelle and Michael Evola, all of whom she adored and who lovingly took care of her. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Anthony. They were happily married for 58 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Vincenzo and Pietrina Davi; brothers Angelo, Sal, Nino, and Horace Davi; and sisters, Mayme Davi, and Nellie Davi Matteucci. In her early years, Rose was Floor Manager for Woolworths, Billing Department Manager for the City of Pittsburg Water Department, and Office Manager for Nevis Trucking Company in Pittsburg. One of Rose's joys in life was dancing with Leo at the Pittsburg Elks Club on Saturday nights. She loved to bake and her friends and family looked forward to her delicious cookies, especially her biscotti. Rose found peace and joy in gardening and her roses were one of her favorite flowers.
