Rose Bunecke Obituary

Rose Bunecke, 86, formerly of Aliquippa, PA died peacefully on November 9, 2012 at home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on September 4, 1926 in Aliquippa, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary (Gancarz) Tatar. As a young adult, she was employed as a secretary for the Aliquippa Borough and for the HJ Robertson Company in Pittsburgh, PA. She married in 1954 and was an active member of St. Titus Catholic Church and the St. Titus Confraternity of Christian Mothers. After raising her 5 children and living in Pennsylvania for over 76 years, she spent the next 9 1/2 years in Colorado Springs, where she was a faithful member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Bunecke, her sister, Jennie Braudis and her brother, Harry Andrews. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jennifer Bunecke, Emsworth, PA; Mary and Philip Kellerhals, Colorado Springs, CO; Charity and Gil Nedrow, Aspinwall, PA; and two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph Bunecke, Colorado Springs, CO; and Stephen and Jennifer Bunecke, Simpsonville, SC. She was also dearly loved by her 7 grandchildren, Kirsten and Kyle Bunecke (CO); Allison and Luke Nedrow (PA); Sophia, Jonathan and Alyssa Bunecke, (SC) and many nieces & nephews. A Mass of Christian burial and interment will be in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Colorado Parkinson Foundation, Inc., 1155 Kelly Johnson Blvd, Suite 111, Colorado Springs, CO 80920 or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047, http://www.lbda.org.
