Roy Farquhar Obituary

Roy Farquhar, Jr., 79, of Security, Colorado went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2016. Roy was born on December 27, 1936 in Waller, Texas, to the late Roy Farquhar Sr. and Mary (Johnson) Farquhar. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran with 20+ years of service to our country. He served in Vietnam and at numerous military installations both home and abroad. Roy and Jeannie (Daniels) Farquhar were married in 1958.

Roy is survived by his children Tim Farquhar (Yvonne) of Colorado Springs, Kimberly Major (Bill) of Colorado Springs, Tracy Duke (Carl) of Ordway and Stacy Farquhar of Lakewood. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; Velma and Gene Hart of Fowler (sister-in-law and brother-in-law); Tom Jones of Pueblo (brother-in-law); two sisters Shirley Gross and Carolyn Haynes, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeannie Farquhar, Verda Jones (sister-in-law), Marty Daniels (brother-in-law), four brothers and three sisters.

A memorial service will take place on August 13th at 11:00am at Pitkin Avenue Baptist Church in Fowler, Colorado, followed by a graveside service with Honor Guard.

Roy touched so many lives and will be greatly missed.
