Roy Glover Obituary

Roy M. Glover Jr., age 72, of Millcreek, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014, at his residence, following a brief illness.

He was born in Erie, on July 13, 1942, a son of the late Roy M. Sr. and Martha D. Kazmierczak Glover.

Roy graduated from East High School and went on to serve in the United States Army Reserves.

He worked in sales for various companies, and after his retirement, he started his own company Logo's and More.

He was a longtime member of Luther Memorial Church and a member of the Erie Jaycees.

Roy was passionate about cars and enjoyed collecting them, especially Corvettes. He was an avid Steelers fan and his favorite thing was being "Papa" to his grandchildren. Many people considered Roy to be a saint. Roy was also a very kind and generous man.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray A. Glover, and a sister, Dorothy Glover.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, P. Pia Nava Glover; two daughters, Hilary Forman and her husband Eric of New York and Trina Rinderle and her husband Brian of Erie; three grandchildren, Megan, Alexandra and Cameron; and many cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave.), on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 8:30 p.m., with Rev. Bill Coleman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.

Pia,
We were so sorry to hear about Roy. What a good man he was! Bob remembered the Jaycees and apple butter sales with Roy in charge. I am so glad we did get together for dinner back a few years ago. We hope you and the girls find solace in fond memories of him. Betty and Bob Lang
