Roy Simpson Obituary
Roy was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia. Roy proudly served in the U.S. Military for over 20 years and retired as Staff Sergeant E-6. He spent his second career working in Security, Colorado, where he retired from Schlage Lock Company.
Roy and his wife of 37 years, Sandra F. Simpson, who preceded him in death in April, 2016, moved to Colorado in 1983. Roy's step-children: Jennifer Gross, Jeff Bridges, Leslie Riley, and Jamie Smith, along with 11 step-grandchildren and six step great grandchildren reside in the Colorado Springs area.
Roy is the son of Robert and Florence Simpson (Ashworth), both deceased. Roy is survived by his three siblings: Larry Joe Simpson, June Yeomans, and Robert (Rick) Simpson, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces; all who reside in the Valdosta, GA area. His brothers Russell and Glenn preceded him in death.
Roy enjoyed: golf, bowling, reading, and spending time with his family and friends at the VFW.
A private family memorial will be held.
