I only recently learned of the death of Rozella (always known to me as Rose) Weber. She and my mother were the closest of friends and my parents and Rose and Forrie enjoyed cocktails and dinner together on an almost weekly basis. We shared vacations and fishing trips together many times. Before Rose and Forrie adopted their son, Rose was almost like a second mother to me. When my mother was in the hospital giving birth to my sister, I stayed with Rose and Forrie and Rose took me to see my newborn sister for the first time. As for faith, I never knew Rose to be any other than a devout Roman Catholic. She was not raised Catholic but became one when she married Forrie, who was a lifelong Catholic. Rose and Forrie were faithful active members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Colorado Springs and Rose served there as a volunteer organist for many years. She was a gifted writer and wrote texts for hymns that were actually published in Catholic liturgical booklets. Though not Catholic myself, I always greatly admired Rose's devout faith. +May she rest in peace, and may light perpetual shine upon her.
