I know Uncle Russ has been gone for over a decade now, but he is not forgotten. I am reminiscing tonight of earlier, happier times, and I miss my Uncle Russ.

I have worked with Russ and Bart over the past three and a half years. Bart, You already know but your dad was an amazing, fun and loving person... Let his successes and accomplishments motivate you - in business and in life. I will sincerely miss his smile and his hawaiian shirts and shorts, no matter the weather. The world needs more families like yours and more Christian men like Russ. Thanks and God Bless. Kim

Since we were separated at young ages because of our mother's death, I never got the chance to know Russ very well. I wish I had though. The times I do remember with him were fun and exciting. He was always full of life and enjoyable to be around. I know he is happier than he could ever be now because he is with his Personal Saviour and Lord as those of us who have accepted Christ as our Personal Savior and Lord know. I will miss you brother and am saddened that I didn't get to know you better. I will see you again though.

Love your sister,
Mary

Russ was my friend. Most of our time together was in AK (1985-89)when we were members of the Grace Brethren Church in Eagle River. We enjoyed rich fellowship. I will always remember him and his little brown Bible he would use as we witnessed for our Lord. Although circumstances separated us, I most recently saw him in the summer of 2004 in CO and at his son Ben's wedding in 2005 in SC. He was an example of generosity. He was spotaneous and fun to be around. I will miss him on this Earth, but I will see him again. John 3:16

Our prayers and thoughts go with you boys and your families. We had only met Russ briefly a couple of times but we knew him well through our granddaughter, Jennifer Ferguson. She loved "Uncle Russ" with all of her heart and gives raves reviews of who he was in his life here on Earth. He was one person she felt loved without ceasing, unconditionally and loved all of humanity. He was a hero of heros and a man who loves his Lord and Savior. You have the wonderful knowledge of peace that passeth all understanding that you will all be with him again in heaven as we are assured that he is in the presence of God just as Jesus promised he would be when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Jennifer sends her love and condolences.

My wife and I knew Russ through our association of New Life Riders, a motorcycle small group of New Life Church. His faith was dynamic and refreshing. I'll never forget his last meeting a few weeks ago,in which he brought a young man whom he had just led to the Lord and was helping to reunite with his estranged family after living on the streets for a while. He prayed with us and allowed us to pray for him often at the meetings. His heart for the downtrodden was truly inspirational. His generous spirit was evident in the last group meeting that he attended as he slipped out early and much to our surprise paid for all the members breakfasts before he left. We all had many laughs with him and enjoyed seeing his faith growing and his actions to help the needy.
My wife and I just learned of his Idaho history. We moved here from Twin Falls in 2005. Our condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family. We will attend the memorial service on the 16th.
Sincerely,
Travis and Moira Jacobson
