Russell (Russ) George Mueller, age 69, passed away on May 16, 2022, surrounded by friends and family.
Russ was born on July 26, 1952, in Detroit, MI. He served honorably in the United States Navy and was an avid military historian. He was a fixture in the Colorado Springs military scale-modeling community and worked for several years at Hobby Towne USA in Colorado Springs. He was a quick wit and had a loving heart. He never met a stranger and loved finding commonalities among people. He studied and traveled to Israel and spent much of his life supporting Jewish history and culture.
He is survived by his siblings, Linda Mueller of Las Vegas, NV, Margo (and spouse Gary) Prechter of Hendersonville, NC, Terry Grignot of Colorado Springs, and Jon (and spouse Janice) Mueller of Granbury, TX, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary G (Buerck) Mueller, his parents Bob and Althea Mueller, his two brothers Bob (spouse Chris) Mueller and Jim Mueller, and his sister, Mona Volkmar (spouse Ron).
There will be a memorial and celebration of life held at a later date when family can all be together to remember him.

I hadn´t heard from Russ in a long time and was saddened, but not surprised, to find out he had passed. He was a wonderful man, and a good friend. I had spoken with him just a couple weeks earlier. He will always have a place in my heart.
