In Loving Memory of Ruth Ann Brase
January 30, 1943 - June 21, 2023
Ruth Ann Brase, a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother, passed away on June 21, 2023. Born in Denver, Colorado, she was an only child.
Ruth Ann and her husband, Dean Stanton Brase, known affectionately as Stan, began their journey together in Fort Collins, Colorado, while attending Colorado State University. Their love story unfolded amidst the college years as they shared dreams and supported one another. Ruth Ann played a vital role in helping Stan graduate from veterinary school.
After they married, Ruth Ann and Stan opened their first veterinary practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1977, Ruth Ann and Stan made the decision to move to Colorado Springs, where they established Rockrimmon Animal Clinic. They both loved animals and enjoyed serving the community where they lived.
A dedicated mother to her two daughters, Jill and Julianna, Ruth Ann embraced the role of motherhood with all her heart. She had a deep love for her family.
Ruth Ann was devoted to Jesus, and her Christian faith played a central role in her life. She created Traditions and Trimmings, a platform where she mentored many women about the importance of incorporating traditions into their holiday celebrations as a way to teach their families about Jesus and create lasting memories.
Additionally, she served as the head of the hospitality committee for Moms and Beyond, a young moms group. In this role, she guided numerous women, helping them create joyful and meaningful holiday experiences for their families. Ruth Ann's mentorship made a lasting impact on the lives of the mothers she served.
Ruth Ann's love for family extended to her role as a grandmother. She cherished moments spent with her four grandchildren. Loving them endlessly, she created treasured memories with each of them.
Ruth Ann is survived by her loving husband Stan, her daughters and their husbands Jill and Chris Griffin, Julianna and Steve Treadwell, her beloved grandchildren Emma, Gracie, Luke, and Kate.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
A memorial service to honor and remember Ruth Ann's life will be held on Saturday, July 8 at 1 pm at First United Methodist Church - 420 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

Ruthann came into my life in 1990 when we move to CS with the military. We spent many hours together during the three years we were there as we walked together, shared together our love of family and her life so impacted my life and love for Jesus. She will always remain a precious part of my heart and memories.
