Ruth Jaloszynski Obituary

Ruth Guymon Jaloszynski was born of goodly parents, William Lee Guymon and Una Geneva Seely Guymon, on March 23, 1922, at the family home in Orangeville, Utah. After graduating from Castle Dale High School as class salutatorian, she left home to seek employment. Ruth worked in an aircraft factory and later trained as a stenographer. She also was employed in various clerical positions. Ruth married Edwin L. Jaloszynski at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio, on December 28, 1946. Two children were born to them: John Edwin Jaloszynski and JoAnn (Raymond) Hendershot. They have six grandchildren: Richard (Jayna) Hendershot, Reed (Maria) Hendershot, Maren (Joshua) McCrary, Megan (Erik) Guderian, Manda (Trenton) Bytheway, and Marta Hendershot; and twelve great-grandchildren. She traveled with her husband, who was an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Their family lived in Illinois, Florida, Mississippi, Okinawa, Germany, North Dakota, Colorado, and Utah. After her husband's retirement, they settled in Colorado Springs, where she died September 1, 2010, at age 88. Ruth influenced all who knew her through gifts of love and service. Indeed, she was everyone's servant, and she blossomed into an elegant and gracious woman who followed the example of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ruth was an exceptional cook, gardner, seamstress, and quilter, making her family's many homes into places of peace and beauty. She loved music and became an excellent pianist, church organist, and accompanist. She did extensive research into her family history and volunteered countless hours in assisting others with their genealogy. Ruth's parents and two siblings, Jay Guymon and Vearl Alger, preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved husband, all of their posterity, and by a brother and three sisters: Del Ora Cook, Duane Guymon, Uneta Grange, and Pat Crosby-Burns. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 4, 2010, in the Palmer Park Ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 2750 Melissa Drive. Internment will be at the Memorial Gardens cemetery. Ruth will be dearly missed by all who became acquainted with her. She leaves her family a legacy of charity and faithful devotion.

Dear friends and family of this wonderful woman,
Ruth was such a wonderful friend to Ann when we first moved to Colorado Springs. She was kind enough to take Ann under her wing and teach her oh so very much about how to be a Relief Society leader and sister. We will miss her a great deal but you can be proud of the fact that she left the world a much better place because of her service and love that she gave so many people. You can be proud of her.
We love you,
Al and Ann Schlag
