Ruth Myers Obituary

Ruth Myers, 82, died November 9, 2010, in Colorado Springs. She was a missionary with the Navigators, a popular conference speaker and beloved author, best known for her perennial favorite, 31 Days of Praise. Ruth was born May 14, 1928 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was married December 20, 1952 to Dean Denler of the Navigators, and served with him in Taiwan and Hong Kong until his death on June 19, 1960. She married Warren Myers of the Navigators on December 1, 1968, with whom she served until his death on April 17, 2001. Ruth was a woman of the Word, a lover of the Lord, in Whose arms she found delight and rest. She is survived by her son, Brian Gene; a daughter, Doreen Joy Wirsig; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebelo Square Drive, 590-8922. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Glen Eyrie Castle, 3820 N. 30th Street, 598-1212, followed by a reception in the King James dining room. A committal service will be at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Navigators East Asia Work, P.O.
