Ruth Neely Obituary

Ruth Neely, 90, passed away on January 26, 2011 in Colorado Springs where she had lived for 11 years. Prior to moving to Colorado Springs she lived in Hammond, Indiana with her husband James Austin Neely, who proceeded in her death. She was born in Hammond on May 7th 1920 to John and Augusta (Pohlman) Kasper. Her sister Eleanor Kasper and brother Robert Kasper proceeded in her death. She was a loving mother and grandmother who passed her love of reading onto her daughters Debra (Michael) Mikash of Colorado Springs, CO and Janice (Joseph) Dean of Poway, CA, and her six grandchildren Bethany (Jason) Smith, Lindsey Mikash, Zachary Mikash, Kristy (Jeffery) Bolen, Michelle (Christopher) Armstrong and David Dean. In addition Ruth had four great grandchildren, Maddon and Xander Smith and Kaitlin and Tyler Bolen. She was adored by her family and will be missed by all. Her remains will be interred in Schererville Indiana at a family service in June. Because of her love of reading, memorials may be sent to Pikes Peak Library Foundation, P.O. Box 1579, Colorado Springs, CO 80901-1579

Mom, I so miss you. I go to call you on the phone and remember I can't anymore. I miss our conversations and our times that we had together. You were the best mom a daughter could have. Rest in peace and know that I am thinking of you.
