Ruth Plamann Obituary

Ruth Lorraine Plamann, daughter of Harold and Albertina Zahn went to be with Jesus on March 25, 2009, in Tucson, AZ. Ruth was born in Merrill, Wisconsin, on January 10, 1919. She was married in Merrill to Alfred August Plamann (deceased 5/29/89), on September 21, 1940 and three years later moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she and her husband started a real estate development and insurance company. Throughout her life Ruth was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. After moving to Tucson almost 30 years ago, Ruth devoted her free time in service to Fountain of Life Lutheran Church. Ruth is survived by her children Alfred A. Plamann of La Canada, CA, Alene Ruth Patterson of Fort Collins, CO, and Ruthann Tacher of Seattle, WA, seven grandchildren, six and ½ great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and friends too numerous to count. All who met Ruth were touched by her great sense of humor, free spirit and love of life. She will be sorely missed. Memorial services are scheduled for 11am, Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Fountain of Life Lutheran Chruch, 710 South Kolb Road, Tucson. A reception follows.
