Ruth Powell Obituary

I just learned about Ruth´s passing, I knew the Powell family for over 35 year´s. Ruth´s son Sam worked at our facility for the Colorado National Guard where Sam and I were great friends. When Sammie got sick and retired I often stopped by at Ruth´s house and talked to her about Sammie´s progress over coffee. Brett and the rest of the Powell family I am sorry for your loss. I live in Cañon city now but the next time I´m in Fountain I will stop at the cemetery and say a prayer for the family. i am so sorry to learn of the loss of your mother and grandmother. ruth and i were friends for mamy years actually since november 1933 when i was born in fountain. i also knew jess and essie, her parents. ruth was a special lady. my prayers are with all of you..

ruthie was a wonderful person - enjoyed being with her and her husband at anterto reservoir camping and fishing

Ruth Powell was a loving mother and direct with her opinions, mostly positive. We lost not only a great woman but a little of our history in Fountain. My condolences to her family and friends.

Ruthie was so, much fun being with at the Fountain Museum!
She was such a sweet person, and I loved spending time with her! She even gave me her recipes for her famous white bread!
