Ruth "Mary" Scott passed away on November 24, 2025. Mary was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Argyle and Ruth Scott on December 10, 1950. She spent her youth in Ohio where she discovered the Girl Scouts. She participated and supported the Girl Scout Program her entire life. Mary graduated from Valparaiso University in 1971 with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Later she received her Master's Degree in Electronical Engineering at University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.

Through her career in Colorado Springs, Mary worked as an engineer for Rockwell, Kinder Morgan, and Honeywell. When she wasn't working, Mary enjoyed hiking, skiing, riding bikes and motorcycles, and researching family history. Mary will be remembered for her brilliant smile, her enthusiasm for fun, her amazing knowledge of mechanical engineering, and her 1972 Duster, a gift from her father when she graduated from college. It was the only car she ever owned and she drove it 1000's of miles in road trips all over the United States.

Mary is survived by her cousins, Priscilla Capelle-Wilson (Billy), Lynn Wilson (Larry), Joel Mikelson (Noemi), Hans Mikelson (Laurie), and her dear friend Myron Gelsinger.

There will be a viewing December 10, 2025, at Swan Law Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and a funeral at Swan Law Funeral Home at 10:00 am on December 11, 2025, followed by a burial at Evergreen Cemetary.
