Forever loved,
Forever missed.
Ruth passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023, at 95 years of age. She retired from the Harrison School District and worked in the Title One program. She was respected and loved by the staff and students.
She was a long-time member of the Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society. She attended many jazz festivals and concerts with her jazz friends. If it was Dixieland jazz, she was there.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Drake, Maurie Shannon, by her grandchildren, Gina Neptune (Grant), Shannon Moses, Nick Moses and her great grandchildren, Grayson Neptune and Gentry Neptune.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in her name to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, Attn: Philanthropy, 610 Abbott Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80905, or online at www.hsppr.org/donate.
