Ruth M. Sockriter, 63, ofColorado Springs, died September 6th, in Boulder, CO. She was born May 14, 1946 to Herbert A. and Katherine N. (Derby) Myers in Quincy, MA. She attended elementary and high school in Quincy, MA and the Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO. Ruth married William S. Sockriter, Jr., August 24, 1963 in Cape May, NJ. She and William moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 1980 from New Jersey and moved to Boulder in 2005. Survivors: husband, William S. Sockriter, Jr., of Colorado Springs, CO, 1 son, William S. Sockriter, III of Castle Rock, CO, 1 daughter, Faith C. Bone of Phoenix, AZ, 2 brothers, Herbert F. Myers of Milville, NJ and Richard A. Myers of England, 3 sisters, Alma K. Rose of Ocala, FL, Eleanor Durkee of Boston, MA and Doris Sockriter of Cape May, NJ, grandchildren, Jillian and Micaela Bone of Phoenix, AZ and Samuel, Zane and Zoe Sockriter of Castle Rock, CO, Sarah Ramsey and Stevie Wise of Denver and 2 great grandchildren of Denver. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jeanette Jones and Harriett DiStefano. Contributions may be made to the Huntington Society, Rocky Mt. Chapter, 1420 Ogden St., Suite 201, Denver, CO 80218, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Longmont, CO, 1000 W. 15th Ave., Longmont, CO 80501, Springs First Church of the Nazarene, 4120 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80916, or to Young Life, 420 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO. M. P. Murphy & Associates Funeral Directors of Boulder are handling arrangements.
