Ruth Wheeler Obituary

Ruth C. “Chris� Wheeler passed away March 30, 2009 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born April 17, 1923 in Lamoille, Minnesota to Oliver and Mabel Christianson, who preceded her in death. Chris is survived by her daughter, Lorie (Stephen) Beneake; son, Bruce (Darla) Wheeler; three grandchildren, Matthew, Sara, and Cayse; sister, Shirley Sylling and many extended family members. Chris enjoyed her life membership with the V.F.W. Post #4051 Ladies Auxiliary. Memorial service will be Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 5901 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, a reception in her honor will be immediately following at the V.F.W. Post #4051, 430 East Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs. Private inurnment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado. All contributions and in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post #4051 for cancer aid and research.
