Sally Callahan Obituary

Callahan
SALLY "SADIE" CALLAHAN
1946 - 2017
In memory of Sally "Sadie" Callahan, who left us suddenly last year, after a brief and valiant struggle with cancer. Sadie was born and grew up in Joplin, Missouri, the only child of Richard and Irene Duggan. After high school, she obtained degrees from Kansas State College and lived and worked in Kansas, then in upstate New York. In 1979, she settled in Colorado Springs with her husband, "Seamus", and worked as a technical writer and editor until retiring.
Sadie had a gracious and caring nature. In this era of texts and emails she kept in touch with handwritten letters and cards, often embellishing them with stickers and funny sayings. Her wit and personality will be missed by all who knew her.
Sadie was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her husband's children, step-grandchildren, and many close relatives and long-time friends.
