Sally Gieck Obituary

Sally (Wilmot) Gieck, 92, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2014 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born February 27, 1922 in Pfeifer, Kansas to Jacob and Bridget Urban. In her teens her family moved to Colorado Springs, CO and in 1946 Sally met and married Albert Gieck. In 1951, Sally, her husband, and two sons moved to Whitter, CA where they raised their two sons and daughter until 1968, moving their family back to Colorado Springs, CO. For the past 15 years, Sally lived with long-time friend and significant other, Henry (Chris) Christian.

Sally is survived by three children Roger Gieck (Nancy) of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Gale Gieck (Michelle) of Chandler, AZ, and Connie Summers (Mark) of Colorado Springs, CO; along with one grandchild Tiffany Floyd (Dan).

A viewing will be held from 10-11AM with Mass following at 11AM on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2715 E. Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. After the Mass a celebration of Sally's life will be held at Chris Christian's home, 2211 Princeton Way, Colorado Springs.
