Sam Quindt Obituary

Sam W. Quindt, 94, passed away at home on December 15. He was born in Hutchinson, KS, January 14, 1920.

He is survived by his wife Hazel and daughters Linda Hannen (Mark) and Carol Phillips (Joel).

Sam served in the Air Force during World War II as an aircraft mechanic for the P38.

He worked in the construction trade as a partner in DDM Concrete and later for Schmidt-Tiago Construction.

Sam was a long-time member of the Masons and Shriners and belonged to Colorado Springs Lodge #76, Colorado Springs Lodge #13, Cripple Creek Lodge #96, Southern Colorado Consistory, Al Kaly Shrine and Centennial Chapter #58 Eastern Star.

He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, where the memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Sam's wish was for contributions to be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1275 East Fairfax Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84103

Hazel,
Best memory, watching you two go up to communion together. His hands on your waist and your hands on his. What a loving relationship. I have treasured you both. God's loving embrace will carry us all from death to life.

Dearest Hazel, Linda And Carol. So sorry to hear of Sam's passing. All of us in New Mexico are grieving, too. Mom has advanced dementia and can,t travel, but we are with you in spirit. Love to you all. Don, Sally, Ron & Joe Spalding
