Samuel Leroy Pfeif, 92, of Las Animas, CO, passed away on Aug. 30, 2025. He was born Nov. 30, 1932, in Spooner, WI, to Fred and Margaret (Daniels) Pfeif. Sam married Pauline Hill on April 4, 1959. Survivors include two sons, Brad (Chris) Pfeif and Steve (Cindy) Pfeif, one son-in-law, Tom Speer, nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and two brothers, Don Pfeif and Bob Pfeif. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline, his daughter, Vanessa Speer, two grandsons, a brother, Norm Pfeif and a sister, Betty Vance.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at Hillside Gardens, 1006 S. Institute St., Colorado Springs, from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. Memorials in Sam's memory may be designated to Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

So sorry to hear of Sam's passing. I was a good friend of son Steve and the whole family for many years. I was fortunate enough to work for Sam for a couple summers, at his construction company, when I was a young man and spent a lot of time with the family at their home in Falcon Estates and their property near Guffy CO. Many good memories that will stay with me forever. RIP Sam Pfeif.
