Sandra Chisman Obituary

Chisman
Sandra D (Solberg) Chisman
March 6th, 1952 - April 16th, 2018
Sandra D. Chisman passed away on the afternoon of April 16, 2018 at the age of 66 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs surrounded by family after battling cancer. She was raised in Mauston, WI by Dorothy and Everett Solberg along with her siblings, Nancy and Dennis. She moved away from Wisconsin with a friend after high school and built a wonderful life in Colorado where she met the love of her life, Larry Chisman. She enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing with the grandchildren, and spending time with her family. After being diagnosed in February 2017, Sandy retired from Care Core National to spend quality time with her loved ones. Sandy was passionate about her family. She had 6 grandchildren who she loved to spoil. She not only raised 3 children of her own, but it was not uncommon to find friends living with us because their parents were battling cancer or just because they fell on hard times. She was a mother to many. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry Chisman, her son, Ryan Chisman with wife, Karen Lee and their children, Emma and Audrey, her son, Troy Chisman with wife, Lauren and their children, Everett, Avery, and Addison, and daughter, Jenna LaPalme with husband, William and their son, Lincoln. She has impacted many people throughout her life and she will be greatly missed. Though her loss is heavy on all of our hearts, it was her wish that we not mourn her death but that we celebrate her life and be grateful for the time we got with her here on Earth. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Sandy's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please join us for food and drinks on May 12th from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at the Elks Lodge, 3400 N Nevada Ave, to help us celebrate the devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend she was to so many. "You may be gone from our sight but you will never be gone from our hearts."
