Dr. Huffman is always in my heart. She was the best doctor ever and was always there for me when needed. What an incredible, godly woman she was--celebrating another Christmas with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I tell folks that the hardest part about someone´s passing is the time delta between when they pass and when we see them again. I look forward to catching up with Lynn one day - a great doctor, a great person, and a wonderful friend.

It's hard to believe it has been seven years since Dr. Huffman left us to be with Jesus two days before Christmas. I think of her so often and credit her in large part for my being a healthy 72-year-old. Thank you, Dr. Huffman, for 20 years of excellent care! I think of her beloved Noah, now 27 years, and know he is working for the Lord in whatever career path he has chosen, making his mother very proud of him as he always did.

My last memory of Dr. Huffman was her knowing look, telling me she loved me and her warm smile. That visit was different and later I was to learn that she was relocating. I think about her often and miss her always. Monica and Philip McClean

Dr. Huffman was our family physician for over 20 yrs. She treated my mother, my kids, and I. Three generations! Like many others on this site, we all cried when she left Colorado Springs. I have been sending her Christmas cards and family updates these past 2.5 yrs, only to find out she passed away just a couple months after leaving. (Just found out in June 2018, quite by accident. We all cried over that as well.)

She was not only an amazing doctor, but a wonderful friend and confidant. She cried and prayed with us often.

Noah, she adored you! Felt like we knew you, lol!

My mom just passed away on July 20 and i believe they are in heaven catching up right now! Praise God for that!

There will never be anyone like her. Rest In peace doc.

Leslie's entry reminded me again how much Dr. Huffman loved her canines. She was always bragging about them. I rescued a Chihuahua March 2016. "Wilson" had had a tough life his first six years. Now he has it made. I realized one of the main reasons I adopted "Wilson" was in memory of Dr. H. I know she would approve. This one's for you, Dr. Huffman!

I was stunned to find out about Dr. Huffman's death. She was my doctor for 20 years and I loved her. She was always honest with me and "told it like it was." When I found out she was leaving Colorado Springs I cried. I knew I would never find as good a doctor as she was. I remember one day I had an appointment and she seemed a little down. I asked her if she was o.k. and she told me she had to put her dog to sleep that morning. We talked about how much we loved our pets and the funny things they did. After the appointment she thanked me and told me that I had made her feel so much better. She was a wonderful person.

I just found out about Lynn's passing and am so sad to hear. Lynn was my doctor in Colorado Springs for 12+ years. We always had a great camaraderie and were both southern girls. I know you, her family, will miss her. We were so sad when she moved away. A year too late, I send my condolences.

I just found out today what happened, I don't know why it took me so long to hear about it. What an amazing woman she was. I was so saddened that she was leaving Colorado Springs. She has been my Doctor for years. I will truly, truly miss her. What a wonderful soul and human being. My thoughts are with all her family. And her precious pups that she adored. We talked about them often.

She was an amazing doctor to our whole family for many years. Very caring, but blunt...I will always remember her telling me, "Well, what did you want to do a stupid thing like that for!"

You will be missed. My prayers to Noah and your family. You were one of a kind, thank you for your kindness and encouragement.

I worked for Dr. Lynn when she was in Florida working with her dad at Richey Medical Center. I was searching for her on Facebook and saw this. I am so saddened that she has passed away! She was the BEST doctor to her patients and also to her staff. Once we were chatting about how she takes care of her patients and she said, "You have to LISTEN to the patient and they will tell you what is wrong with them." I truly believe that was what contributed to her success as a doctor. We kept in touch for a while even after she moved to Colorado and I know she was SO happy to have Noah and she was SO proud of him. He is so blessed to have had her as his mom. I will continue to miss her as I have since she moved to Colorado.

I just found out today about Dr. Huffman's passing. She was such an amazing and caring Doctor, and I'm so sad to hear of her sudden loss - especially for her son. As others have said, there is still a glimmer of hope though knowing she is safely in Jesus' arms - and we will get to rejoice with her one day!

I was saddened by the news of Lynn leaving Colorado Springs but stunned when I recently learned of her passing, as I visited an Urgent Care and the news shared by one of her peers. Lynn had been my physician/friend since 2000 and was the only physician my 20 yr old daughter has known. Lynn was a wonderful woman, her love for the Lord shined thru in her profession. We shared so many commonalities and had great conversations over so many of them. I am so, so sorry for your great loss and especially to Noah. Know it was an honor knowing your mother the years that I did, the insight and education she always willingly shared. She was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed. RIP My Friend. The honor was mine.

I just found out today that my wonderful Doctor of 19 years is no longer with us. I will be forever grateful for her honesty, thoroughness and caring nature. She was one of the most skilled in her profession. She was there for me over the years and always made me feel good about any outcome. She made many feel as if they were her only patient. You don't find that with too many. She will be greatly missed. A piece of her is gone but everything she had done for me professionally will live on!

I just found out today about Dr. Huffman's passing. As sad as we all are about our loss, I am even more happy for her that she is in heaven. I will continue to pray for her family as I understand first hand their pain. Like so many others she was more than just my doctor, she was my friend and is my sister in Christ. I'll see her again when God decides it's time. My prayers to Noah and her family and so many friends.

I just found out today about Dr. Huffman. She was my physician for the past 18yrs and I was sad to hear she was moving back east and I would have to find another, but was excited for this next chapter in life for her. Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am to hear this tragic news.

I just found out today that Dr. Huffman passed away. She was my physician for 18 yrs. When she told me she was going to Virginia I was unhappy about losing her, but she was so excited about starting a new chapter in her life, building a home near her sister and the new practice she was starting that I was very happy for her. I will miss her very much because she was more than my physician-she was a friend. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

I just found out today about Dr Huffman. I am in shock. She was THE most amazing doctor and person. So much talent, love and compassion for all. The medical community lost an amazing doctor and we all lost a great friend.

Lynn was a beautiful soul. Loving, kind, caring and most importantly a Christian. We wholeheartedly believe she was welcomed with open arms into the Lord's eternal kingdom. We send our sincerest condolences for the entire family

With shock and great sadness I read the news. Dr. Huffman was my PCP for 20 years, seeing me through many illnesses. As I read all the tributes to her, I agreed wholeheartedly with all that was shared about this incredible woman of faith. I'll add that her humility radiated from her. She loved to talk about Noah. She always enjoyed telling me about her rescued dogs. How did she manage to make each of her patients feel like her favorite? She cared so deeply. She was loved and respected in this community. When she and I said farewell in September with a hug, she assured me we'd meet again. I never thought she would beat me to Heaven. I'm including a photo of my sister-in-law Kathy, who had Down syndrome, with her loving and compassionate doctor taken a month before Kathy went to Jesus. Oh how Kathy adored Dr. Huffman, as we all did. A lot of tears are being shed here in Colorado Springs. You have my prayer support, Noah, Mrs. Broadfield, sisters, and the rest of the family, as you grieve your tremendous loss.

I am filled with shock and tremendous sadness today as I learned of Dr. Huffman's passing. She was my doctor for 18 years and she was the most wonderful caring doctor. I was sad to learn when she told me a month before she left her practice that she was moving. Yet, I was so happy for her as she was going to be back with her family. She was excited about building her house next to her sister. A new chapter a new beginning. To hear about her passing in this way is tragic. My heart goes out to Noah and her family. Noah, she loved you very much and talked about you a lot. May you have some peace knowing that a lot of people loved her caring nature. Dr Huffman you will be missed greatly.

She was so wonderful to our whole family, but especially to my mom. I'll never forget how amazing she was to her. I know she welcomed her into Heaven.

Dr Huffman was my doctor for 21 years, I was in complete and utter shock to learn of her passing I just adored her she was always so motherly we had a great bond I was so sad to hear of her moving and now this I'm so sorry for the family's tremendous loss and she will be missed by myself and my family as everyone loved her!

Lynn blessed my life from the time we met in 1969. She was in the eighth grade and we were best friends. Later we became sisters In Christ. Our friendship transcends time. As I have read these many testimonies to her life I am grateful that The Lord Jesus is being magnified and given the glory, honor and praise that belongs to HIM. We will one day be reunited and I know that each of us is looking forward to that day. Maranantha!

Just stunned to see the obit in my newspaper after returning from the holidays. She had been my doctor for 19 years. I was happy for her to have moved closer to her family, but sad at losing such a great doctor. I take solace in that she passed away doing what she loved in a spectacular location having a great time. You will be missed. My heart goes out to your family, friends and patients.

Lynn was my medical school classmate and a friend and she had just returned to Virginia in my home town. How tragic, her passing. I wish her family much strength.

Doctor Lynn was my doctor for 19 years and my special needs daughter for 10 years. I was devastated when I learned she was moving to Virginia. My daughter's and my last appointment I cried all the way through it. But, she was so happy and excited about being close to family I was excited for her. She kept telling me not to cry that she would see me and my daughter "on the other side". Will look forward to that reunion. She was one in a million and hands down the BEST doctor I have ever had; kind, compassionate, funny, encouraging, smart, and always took all the time needed to address our needs. Dr. Lynn Huffman was not only my doctor, but also my friend for 19 years. I cried for days when I received her letter saying she was moving to Virginia. She stuck by my side through several serious health crises and I think she is one of the reasons I am still alive. She cared about me. Really cared and took the time to listen. I worked for Dr. Huffman's Father Dr. Broadfield when I was a senior in high school, in his medical records department. I knew Dr.Huffman and she was an amazing woman! She will be greatly missed!!

Dr. Huffman was my doc along with my husband and my mom when she spent the summer with us. She always went above and beyond when she cared for you. She was my doc for 17 years and I will miss her forever. She diagnosed my mom with lung cancer with a simple complaint of a back ache. I trusted her with my life and she always shared herself when making a point to encourage you to care for yourself. She was the best in every way and I am so happy I had the opportunity to love her.

I have known Lynn for 20 years a remarkable person on so many levels; a fine physician, a terrific friend. She will be deeply missed. My prayers are with Noah & family.

You were such an amazing person

Dr. Huffman was my doctor for about 18 years. She was nothing short of amazing. I was devastated when she told me that she was going to leave Colorado. But, I wanted the best for her and her future/retirement. I am so saddened that this world will be without her compassion, grace and medical expertise. We lost a good one. It is comforting to know she is with Our Savior - and I am sure that she is having a very profound conversation with him right now. :) I am an equine veterinarian, and she and I loved to discuss the similarities and differences between the species - diagnosing, treatments, etc. Her love for humans and animals was evident in the way she lived. I will miss her even more than I thought. I am thankful to be her patient/friend. I could on with stories, but I won't. Praying for her family and friends, and especially Noah.

Simply stated, Dr. Huffman was the best doctor I ever had, and I was fortunate that she was my doctor through the most challenging health period of my life. Every visit was a visit with a friend and I was always in awe of her skill and effectiveness. I pray for God's peace over her family.

Dr. Huffman was a sweet friend and doctor who always was so joyful about her love for Jesus. I am so sad to hear of her death - but I know where she is. She was an i incredible doctor who helped me through a hard time in my life and saved my life.

I was devastated when I heard Lynn was leaving the area. She was my primary care physician through some life threatening health issues. I trusted her implicitly. I loved our chats and feel that she was a remarkable woman and friend. Prayers to her family, she will be missed by all who knew her.

When I learned Dr. Huffman was leaving for Virginia, I must say I was sad and quite jealous of her soon to be new patients. They would be the ones who would now receive the most wonderful care anyone could ask for. When I heard of Dr. Huffman's untimely death, I was heartbroken. I AM heartbroken. I take heart when I think of her winning smile, her wit, her professional excellence, her strength of faith and her love of family including the furry/feathered kind. Dr. Huffman, who also treated my daughters, told one of my daughters "When I die, I will be God's zookeeper!" I believe she is. I will never forget you Dr. Huffman! I am privileged to have known you. May God grant our wounded hearts healing at your passing.

I'm so sad to hear that Dr. Huffman has passed away. She was my doctor for several years and had become a dear friend as well. Her words of encouragement and direction become even more precious to me now. I will be praying for her son Noah and her extended family and friends. We know she is with the Lord, but she will be sorely missed by all. Looking forward to the reunion in heaven.

Dr. Huffman saw something in me and was the first doctor I ever worked for. She taught me so much but the most important was selfless care for others. She gave me tough skin and made me laugh uncontrollably with her dry sense of humor and telling it like it was. She was a wonderful physician, an incredible mother and had an unrelenting heart of gold. What an honor it was to work for her. Thankful for that crazy bear she bought me with her voice yelling my name when I press the paw. She wanted to make sure I could hear her in case I missed working for her.....she had no idea how priceless this gift would become.

How sad we are to learn of Dr. Huffman's untimely passing. She was a wonderful physician to my husband and me for all of the seventeen years we have lived in Colorado Springs. She was so skillful in shepherding my husband through his diabetes adventures. And, I wish I had known we had a common history at The University of Carolina--Greensboro. She was already missed, now more so!

Dr Huffman left no doubt as to the care she showed me, as a recent transplant to Colorado Springs, and she always had encouraging words when discussing my medical needs. I still have not found my "warm & fuzzy" doctor...

I am so sad. Dr. Huffman was so good to me and my daughter! She was a wonderful doctor and always fun to talk to about raising teens! The twinkle in her eye as she spoke of her son was very special. Our prayers are with her family and we will miss her dearly.

Dr. Huffman was the best! I truly missed her when she left Colorado Springs and am still trying to find someone who can fill her shoes! I'm thinking that's impossible. Dr. Lynn Huffman saved my life. She was a wonderful woman,doctor,and fried. She kept me as a patient even though I no longer had insurance. I had chronic illness and she never gave up on me and kept me well cared for. I remember the first day she brought Noah to get his bilirubin check up. She was so thrilled to have him and proud always of everything he accomplished. I work at Memorial Hospital and many doctors would treat employees as lower class citizens,but not Lynn she always be kind and glad to see me. I know that she is in heaven with her Lord Jesus Christ. I also know the world will be less bright and the medical world has loss one of the best. My heart is broken, she was always will to take the time I needed as a patient, without her I would have given up and probably turned to suicide. She knew me so well and the last visit I had she took over an hour to complete paperwork that helped me get disability after 19 years of struggle. I will truelly miss her kind heart. I am thankful to Lord for blessing my family with the most wonderful physician ever. Stay strong Noah you mother loved you so much and truelly was proud of you and always excited to tell me about you. May you find peace in knowing that you had the best mother God ever made. Dr. Huffman was our family physician for 17 years. I am truly heartbroken to hear of her passing. She was such a wonderful and caring doctor and I really missed her when we moved away from Colorado Springs. My heart goes out to her family during this time of grief.

Dr Huffman was my doctor. I loved her sense of humor and how she made you feel so comfortable in her presence. I sensed and we talked about our love of God and our families. I missed her when she moved and will miss even more now. I will be happy to see her though when I am in the arms of our Jesus! Continued prayers blanketing her family during this time. Dr. Huffman was not only great doctor but a good friend to our family for 19 years. She treated my Mother and Dad and myself. She would bring Noah to see the giant pumpkins that my Dad grew in the back yard.
She was a wonderful person and had a heart that was surely made of pure gold.

Dr Huffman was my favorite doctor of all time. She gets credit for saving my mother's life and she helped me in more ways than just medicine. God bless her, I know she is with him now. My heart felt condolences to her family.
